From 2019 – 2022, the TASAWAR CURATORIAL STUDIOS were a postgraduate study program hosted by the GOETHE-INSTITUT in Tunis. With the prodcutive support of the Goethe-Instituts in Amman, Rabat, and Saudi-Arabien, in 2021, the program was furthered as a regional cooperation project.
The program was custom-tailored for artists, curators, art mediators, and cultural producers who wished to integrate curatorial activities into their practice.
The one-year program consisted of studios with lecture and debate, research and development, and collective projects on exhibition making, focus debate, and dedicated publishing. They were embedded in a variety of off- and online co-working units. Around the core program, and along guiding interests of the fellows of each edition, the program was adapted. All three editions were directed by Bettina Pelz.
The here documented web platforms were part of the online learning environment of the TASAWAR CURATORIAL STUDIOS.
